Among many other names, this wood is also called perota, timbo, tamboril, and Mexican walnut

plank listed as tamboril --- given the apparent coarseness of the grain, I'd guess this is a closeup
planks listed as parota (note variant spelling of perota --- ah the joys of common names): based on both the color and the shine, I'd say the first one definitely is NOT a raw wood color but one that has had a finish applied.
