the finish is presently just a coat of natural stain to block moisture absorption
the two pieces of paela in the rear are even prettier than they look here. On the very left is a piece of ziricote that is shown below
two pieces of paela --- the one on the left is fronted by shedua (see below) and the one on the right is fronted by bocote. The base is mahogany.
this is the shedua and it really shimmers beautifully in the light
a magnificant piece of ziricote that has these little tight ray flakes
