the finish is several coats of polyurethane and the holes in the top for the dried flowers have not yet been drilled

<br>OK ... OK ... I know, it's UGLY!  The "bullseye" seemed like a good idea when I was gluing it up, but the result is garish, I think.  The lamination is walnut and hard maple.  In the right-hand pic, the wood is walnut
