when these pictures were taken, the bowl had one coat of natural stain as a sealant
In the left pic at the top, the brown wood below the lamination is goncalo alves and in the right pic the purple wood at the front is purpleheart
on the right is a lamination of African mahogany thins and Honduran mahogany veneer. In the center (front) is goncalo alves and to the left of that is walnut with hard maple veneer. In the rear is sen (Japanese ash)
at the front is an oval of narra that came out with a very unpleasant blotchy look that was not apparent in the raw wood
