when these pictures were taken, the bowl had one coat of natural stain as a sealant and the holes in the top for the dried flowers had not yet been drilled


In the left-hand pic there's bubinga over padauk and in the right hand pic, there's padauk over oasage orange over machichi over red oak


The jagged lamination is walnut topped by benin (curly African mahogany), with pine on the bottom and thin pieces of mahogany and even thinner pieces of hard maple and the whole thing is backed by red oak. The base is makore and walnut and the center is walnut.
